| 24 years ago, John Winchester awoke in the middle of the night to find his wife, Mary, pinned to the ceiling, bleeding from the stomach, and set aflame. He managed to get his sons, 4-year-old Dean and six-month old Sam, out of the house, but Mary was killed leaving John devastated and determined for revenge against the supernatural thing that killed her. Present day, John has raised his sons to fight supernatural forces. Demons, ghosts, even cryptologic creatures. However, they can't find the thing that killed Mary. With his constant clashes with his father, Sam becomes disenchanted with the hunter's lifestyle, and goes away to college, where he falls in love with a girl named Jessica Moore. After years of estrangement, Dean shows up at Sam and Jess' one night to ask for Sam's help to look for their father who had gone missing during a "hunting trip". At first, Sam is reluctant to be roped back into the world of hunting and prefers his "safe" normal life he had managed to make for himself with Jess, but when he finds Jess dead through the same M.O. as their mother, he sets out with Dean to find their father by following any supernatural leads they can find across the country, hoping they track him down. |

| Amy, also called Avnas, was initially an angel in God’s heavenly hosts (a real one, not a member of one of those silly groups that call themselves angels), but when God seemingly passed them up for his next latest toy, she was none to pleased, along with several other members of the heavenly body, all bound together for their purpose by Lucifer. (She would also like to point out it didn’t help matters that her sin was lust, and Lucifer was very pretty.) When they were defeated by the archangels, and thrown into the pit of eternal torment, they became demons, and were bent on ruining the creation that had got them there in the first place. However, this didn’t mean they wanted to kill them all. Seeing as humans were gifted with free will, the demons would seduce them to the dark side of the force, and get them to send themselves to hell on their own accord. Amy was said to appear in a ball of fire, before taking the form of a dark-haired woman. She was also said to spread the “evils” of science and astrology, and help manipulate men into continuing their quest for knowledge. Amy is also pretty much lust incarnate, and is somewhat of a nymphmaniac. She’s fifty eighth in line to the thrown, and holds some high contempt for demons that abandon the old ways and have taken to outright killing instead of just tempting. She does tend to lay low though, not wanting to make any waves that she doesn’t have to unless she has to. |

| Unlike most demons that the boys have encountered thus far, Amy was never human. She was a fallen angel, who apparently is a very rare demon nowadays, and she’s very powerful. However, she tends to lay low—she doesn’t like calling a lot of attention to herself. It defeats the purpose of her work. She’s very friendly and chatty, and tends to save the fact that she’s a demon as her trump card. She has a huge distaste for Azazel, does not acknowledge Sam as the Antichrist (but will follow him if he chose to raise an army to fight the new big bad, mostly because she thinks his wife is adorable), thinks the new big bad should be squashed like the gnat she is, and really only looks out for herself. She is capable of doing nice things every once in a while if it suits her purpose, and in the end, she’s really not the kind of demon you want to axe. Because really—no one wants to live in Pleasantville. |
